O Surfadelica foi formado em novembro de 2006. .... O guitarrista .. Carlos Nishimiya ..(ex-Maria Angélica Não Mora Mais Aqui, ex-Magazine e atualmente tambem parte do Continental Combo e Kid Vinil Xperience) já tinha uma coleção de canções escritas que queria utilizar dentro do formato de um trio de surf music. .... Para isso chamou dois amigos: JCGR (bateria) e Mauricio Guedesson (baixo) e o ano de 2007 se passou entre ensaios, arranjos, gravação e mixagem. .. .. O resultado foram as onze faixas que compõem o disco de estréia do Surfadelica, "Surfing On The Desertshore". .. Nelas procuramos mostrar que a surf music não está estática, pode se desenvolver e incorporar influencias novas. .... Alem das onze faixas várias outras foram gravadas e devem ser lançadas em coletâneas no futuro. .. Em 2008 dois novos integrantes entraram para a banda: o baixista Carlos Rodrigues e o baterista McCoy. Com eles o Surfadelica adquiriu mais força e idéias e já estamos com o novo disco quase completo. O segundo CD deve sair em setembro ou outubro de 2010. .. Surfadelica came up in November 2006. ..We are three friends that enjoy many kinds of music. ..In one month we came up with our first two recordings, one of them to be released on a compilation album to be released sometime in the UK. The other song (Surf Me To The Moons Of Saturn) you can listen to here... .. From the beginning it was decided that Surfadelica would only play live after having an album under their belt. So 2007 was spent with writing, rehearsals, recording and mixing. The results were the eleven songs on the debut CD plus songs that will be on our next project and several contributions to compilations around the world... .. Our debut album, "Surfing On The Desertshore" was finally released in April 2008 in Brazil by Pisces Records. It features eleven originals written by guitar player Carlos Nishimiya. On the player you can listen to six songs from the album. Each of them showing a different side of our music. .... The album received a great review by surf music guru Phil Dirt. You can read it here: ..Phil Dirt's Reverb Central Surfadelica Review.. .. .. In 2008 Surfadelica went through some line-up changes: Carlos Rodrigues joined on the bass and McCoy on drums. This new trio were now more capable of playing the music created by Carlos Nishimiya. The results will be heard on the band's second CD to be released by September or October 2010. ..
