It was formed three years after the end of the Mutantes in 1976, by Arnaldo Baptista, and had the only member who remained in all the band's incarnations, Rolando Castelo Júnior (drums), along with Oswaldo Gennari (bass) and John Flavin (guitar). In 1978 Baptista left the group. Patrulha do Espaço recorded their first LP two years later, which was followed by eight more albums by 1988. ~ Alvaro Neder
