    ...... .. .. ..Mário Del Nunzio - biografia.. .. .. .... ..About the pieces currently in the player:.... .. "Improviso em Branco e Preto (carta às videntes)" was composed in 2004. The piece, for fixed sounds, uses mainly fragments from pre-existent recordings........... .... .. "Contradição paradoxa", which had its first performance in 2007, is a non-written piece, created and played by the duo formed by Mário Del Nunzio [electric guitar + live electronics] and Bernardo Gomes de Barros [live electronics]. Here is presented an excerpt, from a documental live recording from its premiere, in São Paulo. .. .. "Fragmentos de Vermelho" is a very short electroacoustic piece, composed for a dance performance. The idea presented by the dance who requested the piece was something like: "30 little pieces one after the other, each one lasting 1 second". .. .. .. "Ajudai?" is a piece which would be in an album by O "mundo" entre aspas, which never was (and probably never will be) released. The album would contain pieces based on material from songs by The Beatles. This piece specifically, for two pianos and electroacoustic sounds, is based on the song "Help!". .... Mário Del Nunzio .. Born in 1983; lives in São Paulo, Brazil. .. Currently developing Masters research at University of São Paulo (USP). .. Composes instrumental and electroacoustic music, and also plays with free improvisation / non-written music groups. .. Also plays contemporary music for electric guitar, having premiered many pieces by fellow Brazilian composers. .. His pieces have been played in many cities in Brazil (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Salvador, etc), as well as abroads (Birmingham, Belgrade, Brussels, Copenhagen, Viña del Mar etc). .. Dedicates himselsf to the research of extended instrumental techniques, to the use of live electronics and the relation of body/instrument in contemporary music. His music often deals with fragmentarity (be it a gestural fragmentation, with a fast accumulation of sequential events, be it formal fragmentation) and how to create bigger flows of events from these fragmentary onsets. It also frequently deals with the limits of the body of the instrumentalist who's playing it, who is frequently put under almost athletical situations. .. Has released two albums with electroacoustic pieces (along with works by the composers Henrique Iwao and Bernardo Barros), by the netlabel Clinical Archives: the first, in 2008, called “Dance Music” (containing works originally intended for dance performances), and the second, in 2009, called “Música Eletrônica 2004”; participated of the Re:New 2008 festival, in Copenhagen, Denmark, with support from the Brazilian Ministry of Culture; premiered his piece “Serenata Arquicúbica”, during a tour in the South of Brazil; and played in festivals in São Paulo, including the II Silent Film Journey, promoted by the Cinemateca Brasileira and the Mostra SESC de Artes, promoted by SESC-SP... In the beggining of 2009, along with performance artist Melina Scialom, created an installation / performance, called “Corpos Urbanos”, with support from the Secretary of Culture of São Paulo. In the same year, participated of an exchange program with SARC (Sonic Arts Research Center – Queen’s University, Belfast, Northern Ireland), where has stayed for three weeks. Also did a Brazilian tour with Stefan Prins and Matthias Koole, having played 6 concerts, in 5 different cities. .. Recently, had the premiere of a new piece for electric guitar quartet, in Brugge, Belgium, at the Concertgebouw, by the quartet Zwerm, in November/2009. .. Also dedicates himself to the diffusion of experimental / contemporary music, being one of the creators and directors of Ibrasotope (the only venue in São Paulo dedicated exclusively to experimental / contemporary music), which have, since December/2007 promoted more than 40 concerts, as well as workshops, lectures and other activities. .. .. .. ..
