Gaaah!!!
Such a boring day!
Too much work to do, with small child round my ankles. Everything is in limbo phase. Need to be paid. Need small elves to come tidy my house. Need amazing job to land in my lap (ha!).
The sun is shining though - not a total loss :) -

I do not yet know if I have the green light from the UN to go to Somalia and my window for a cheap(ish) flight is rapidly shrinking. Still I'm keeping myself entertained with their security in the field programme. I'll get a fancy certificate when I'm finished and everything!
I applied for proper funding but the decision window closes 4 weeks AFTER the first trip out. So who knows what will happen about that.
The job prospects following the uni work I've been doing seem to be about to disappear thanks to budget cuts. There's very little entry-level stuff out there that I can afford to do. It's a bugger because I want to keep my toe in here because I need access to the editing software. I'll have it at the end of July/beginning of August but after that, I'm screwed. I need it in September and November. Which is erksome. I might offer to do some pro-bono work in return for editing software access.
Hmmm...I hate things being up in the air like this.
Still, rehearsal tonight, that'll cheer me up. -

I'm a "VIP Executive Producer" (chuckle) and for every 100 pre-order producers we get, I'm chipping in more cash. It should be a pretty awesome film. Ken Russell, Leslie Simpson (Dog Soldiers, The Descent) and Tom Savini (most Rodriguez films like Dusk till Dawn) are involved/interested. Told the script is a "corker".
So there we go. No rehearsal tonight, gonna kick back and watch Krod Mandoon instead.

So I'd really like to some training so I don't go and get blown up in Somalia but I don't qualify for the funding for another 6 months. I can't afford to pay my own way, it's over £2k.

Looks like the MA I want to do isn't going to run either. Not enough applicants. Well, at least my bookcase looks cool with all the books I bought. Guess I better go find a real job...
