  • INDIE RECORDINGS ANNOUNCE NEW SIGNING


    Indie Recordings proudly announce the signing of DJERV.
    Indie Recordings are happy to announce that we have entered an agreement with Djerv for the release of their debut album in Europe excl. Poland, Czech Republic and Russia
    Djerv is a very interesting new band that appeared on the radar early 2010. Spawn out of Trelldom, Animal Alpha and Stonegard they pull strings from their previous bands, but Djerv is still something new. It sounds different. It's aggressive rock, borderline metal and dangerously catchy. Yet wrapped in a blackmetal veil? Genres melt together as never before these days, and so seems to be the case with Djerv as well.
    Their story is short but eventful. The first demos surfaced early 2010, and two weeks later they were booked for the most important festival in Norway, the Oya festival. They went on to tour Norway in June and played several of the bigger Norwegian festivals during the summer. In August they released the "Headstone EP" which basically is their first ever recorded demo tracks made available as people kept demanding to get to hear them not only on Myspace. The release of the "Headstone EP" generated some good press for the band several key magazines featured them as one of the bands to keep an eye out for in 2011. In addition Dimmu Borgir has helped promote Djerv when they invited Agnete to participate on no less than three songs for their latest album, "Abrahadabra". Amongst them the lead track of the album, "Gateways" where Agnete does a stunning performance both on the track and in the video.
    Djerv consist of the three core members Agnete Kjølsrud, Stian Kårstad and Erlend Gjerde. The lineup is completed
    by guitarist Stamos Koliousis from Mencea and bassist Victor Brandt from Entombed who join them for their live performances. Djerv is currently on the Norway Rock Tour with Purified in Blood and Insense, and they are also confirmed for the Inferno Festival April 22nd. More tourdates here

  • VREID RELEASE THE MUSIC VIDEO FOR THE SONG “THE SOUND OF THE RIVER”.



    Monday January 17th, Vreid release the music video for the song ”The Sound Of The River” from their forthcoming album ”V”, out on Indie Recordings February 7th. The song will also be available as a digital single at your online retailer from the same date. The music video will be launched at 12.00 AM CET at the following sites exclusively:


    ”The song was an obvious choice for us from the album. It’s a song that represents the album very well. It is based on the classic Vreid sound, but also is a good illustrator of the new doors we have opened with the album” comments the bands bass player and songwriter Hváll.

    The video was recorded over a 3 days period in Wroclaw Poland, and is produced by Grupa 13, who are well known for their work for Behemoth, Amon Amarth etc.

    ”It was a pleasure to work with such professional and creative people” continues Hváll. ”The filming itself went very smooth, and we had a great dialogue with the producers both by building the storyline, as well as in the process of the after work”. Lyrically Vreid has also entered new landscapes with ”V”. ”The Sound Of The River” is inspired by the book ”Markens Grøde/Growth of the soil”, which gained the legendary and
    and controversial Norwegian author Knut Hamsun the Nobel prize in literature in 1920.

  • Indie Recordings announce the signing of two new bands + Line up at the Inferno label night


    Indie Recordings kicks of 2011 introducing two brand new worldwide signings.
    We are extremely proud to give you two extraordinarily talented and promising acts; OBLITERATION and INSENSE.

     
    OBLITERATION is a young Death metal band from Kolbotn, Norway. A small place just outside Oslo known to produce great metal bands such as Darkthrone, Aura Noir and Lamented Souls.
    Being in their early twenties it's impressive to learn they already celebrate 10 years together as a band after the start in 2001. Ever since having left a trail of destruction behind them with hellblazing gigs and rock solid releases.

    A stunning rehearsal demo from 2006 lead to a signing with cult label Tyrant Syndicate, a sub-label of Peaceville records run by Nocturno Culto of Darkthrone and Sarke.
    OBLITERATION released the debut album "Perpetual Decay" in May 2007 to critical acclaim, and in 2009 OBLITERATION unleashed upon this earth their second album, “Nekrospalms”.
    “Nekrospalms” was awarded  "Album of The Year"  in Norwegian magazine Natt og Dag in 2009, and won OSLOPRISEN for best album in 2009.
    As Fenriz of Darkthrone states;
    "“Well well well, what we have here is the second album of the Kolbotn maniacs, and they have with this recording succeeded at what we in Darkthrone attempted on our “Soulside Journey” and “Goatlord” albums – a death metal masterpiece"
    In support of the release Obliteration spread their dark message throughout the earth, touring USA and the UK including festival appearances at Maryland Death Fest, Hole in the Sky, Øya Festivalen, Live Evil, Killtown death fest + +.
    Now, early 2011 Obliteration find themselves hard at work with their third opus of hellish horror and twisted metal set for a fall 2011 release.

    Having released three impressive albums INSENSE has established themselves with devoted fan base both in Norway and abroad, pouring out their original hybrid of technically brutal riffs and aggressive melodies.
     
    They have been called a combination of the “time signatures in the noise tech vein of the new Dillinger Escape Plan, with the subtlety of Neurosis coupled with the extreme controlled aggression of Slipknot”. Others cited “Sepultura’s raw heaviness, Meshuggah’s technical prowess, and Strapping Young Lad’s ornate song structuring.” Despite the schizophrenic descriptions, the reviews have been overwhelming.
    The spring of 2011 will see the release of their fourth album and INSENSE will demonstrate how innovative metal should sound in 2011.

    Vreid confirmed for Summer Breeze Festival + Preorder on New Album.
     
    Just one week after announcing their Wacken performance Vreid announce yet another titan German festival. 18-20 August they will be playing the Summer Breeze festival alongside bands such as Sodom, Arch Enemy and Kvelertak.
    The band says they had a blast playing there in 2009, and look very much forward to a massive return in 2011.

    2011 will see the release of The Black and Roll Brigade’s darkest, heaviest and most complex songs to date. The Black & Roll Brigade has build their sound on Norwegian Blackness & 70ties Rock. On V this is still their ground, but more than ever their brew has a flavour of the guitar based metal from mid 80's to mid 90's. The past illuminates Vreid's present & future, and with the new album they are reunited with guitar maestro «Strom» from the Windir & Ulcus days (Former Guitarist Ese left the band late 2009). History is the lifeline through Vreid's lyrics, and this time they are fuelled of thoughts by the likes of Hamsun, Munch & Sarte to name a few. Their nine darkest, heaviest and most complex songs to date are wrapped in a powerful & crystal clear production conducted by songwriter & bass player Hváll himself. All produced and mixed in his own 1184 studio. Vreid has marched across the world with over 200 shows since their start back in 2004, and will be hitting the road with full speed in 2011.
