  • Biografia

    DIKTAT was born in Paris, France, during the year 1997. Old friends Alexandre and Jérémie,both guitar players, met old mates Mathieu,vocals,and Nicolas,drums,and decided to create a brutal band of metal. We needed to learn the all stuff : playing instrument, composition and performing to get a brutal technicality and play what we wanted to play . We tried many bass players and chose a friend of Nicolas, Fabrice and recorded our first demo in live conditions: "DIKTAT demo 2000" .We got a real good feedback with this demo, sold over 2000 copies worldwide,and had the great opportunity to open shows for many great bands in France and Belgium. At this point Fabrice left the band and we had the luck to find in Nicolas' brother, Michael, the man we needed. In 2004 DIKTAT recorded its second demo,"II",in studio,but this experience was not so good because the final sound was not what we expected and we had much difficulties to work on it and make it better. As things were going bad for DIKTAT, Nicolas left the band too. From this moment we lost a lot of time and energy to find a good drummer, we learned patience but also nearly stopped the band. In 2008 DIKTAT was back to work with a new drummer,Gogo, we made a new live studio recording in June 2010, four tracks still in the suitcase but not mixed yet . Because we are a very lucky band Gogo left DIKTAT because of his involvement in an other metal band. We have now a new drummer, Romain, hope he is the good one. Anyway we have never left the stage for all these years and will never surrender! playing live is our passion and goal. This is where it ends for now, with violence, always.
