    .. .. .. ENGLISH---------------------------------------------------------------------------Alexandre Augusto, a.k.a. Alex DB, lives in São Paulo and has been involved with Hardcore/Jungle/Drum & Bass since 1992, playing at pirate radios at the north side of the town. Alex became notorious in the Brazilian D&B scene after release a track on V Recordings in 2003 through his parallel project Syndicate (“Sandalia de Prata” - the remix for the track Balança Pema by Jorge Benjor – D&B Fiesta Compilation). His first solo track to be released was Aurora Boreal (Studio X 2) on LTJ Bukem’s label, Good Looking Records, in 2004. From there on, Alex released many tracks on different labels like U.R.B.R. (Brazil), Irma Records (Italy), Strictly Digital (U.K) and Beatmasters (Brazil/U.K). Playing tracks from different artists/labels but preserving the deep/atmospheric vibe in his sets, Alex became synonym of ‘cool soundtrack maker’ for nights which works with the most musical sides of Drum & Bass, what made his name be well known through the whole Brazilian D&B scene as the ‘atmospheric man’. In the present days, Alex works on his “The Source Podcast”, where he plays D&B and some of his musical influences, and brings guest DJs/producers to show how and why they play/make music. He continues to make music and prepares his debut digital album to be released in 2009 on All Street Recordings.--------PORTUGUÊS----------------------------------------------------------------------- O paulistano Alexandre Augusto, mais conhecido como ALEX DB, esteve envolvido no universo Jungle/Drum & Bass desde 1992 quando tocava em rádios piratas da zona norte de São Paulo. Alex ficou conhecido na cena de D&B a partir de 2003, quando fez o remix da música Balança Pema com seu projeto paralelo (Syndicate), remix esse que foi lançado pela gravadora V Recordings da Inglaterra na coletânea Drum & Bass Fiesta. Sua primeira faixa solo a ser conhecida pelo mundo foi Aurora Boreal, lançada em 2004 pelo Good Looking Records, selo de seu maior ídolo dentro do D&B – LTJ Bukem, o qual serve de inspiração para seus sets e produções desde 1994. De lá pra cá, lançou faixas pela U.R.B.R (Brasil), Irma Records (Itália), Strictly Digital (Inglaterra) e Beatmasters (Brasil). Tocando faixas de diferentes artistas e selos, mas preocupado em preservar a vibe mais deep/atmosférica em seus sets, Alex virou sinônimo de “trilha sonora calma”, sendo bastante requisitado para festas que trabalham com o lado mais melódico do Drum & Bass, o que fez seu nome ficar conhecido por toda a cena brasileira como “o cara do atmospheric”. Hoje, Alex trabalha em seu podcast, The Source, onde toca Drum & Bass e algumas de suas influências musicais, convidando DJs/produtores para mostrar como e por que tocam e/ou fazem música. Alex continua produzindo sua música e prepara seu primeiro álbum digital a ser lançado em 2009 pela All Street Recordings.
