Was born from a single womb bringing loas, ladainhas and sambadas to whoever is willing to listen... The Collective Project "A Irmandade" starts with the siblings Miguel Jorge and Marcelo Silva and embraces others "musical brothers" in their live performances. The Collective is formed by constant and instant partners as it's been happening at the shows in Brasil (Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Sao Paulo and Recife) and during the recent tour in Europe (Germany, Italy and Holland). A Irmandade makes the popular traditions their ground and the electronic beat is their path; pandeiro and acoustic guitar, some of the most popular instruments in Brasil, join electronic effects and samplers to create a new concept called M.U.B. - Musica Universal Brasileira (Universal Brasilian Music). DESCRIPTION OF THE SHOW: The Irmandade brings together pandeiro & guitar along with samples & delays in a way that the named it “modern sambada”. Marcelo Silva and Miguel Jorge present their own songs filled of ancient and contemporary references where their voices and vocalizations create a dialogue from samba to rock n roll, from drum n bass to improvisation, singing the story of a Brazilian man, his blackness and his path in the world. The show has a very well defined aesthetic with 2 base band members on stage, pandeiro and guitar – two of the most popul;ar instruments in Brasil – forming the master line. The diversity of colors and ambience is because of the technology, psychedelia and the rockers which are part of our modern pop culture. In a wide and fertile environment filled with singularities, where the Musica Universal Brasileira – M.U.B. (Universal Brazilian Music) unifies and welcomes them all. Elements in evidence: The presentations are filled with Maracatu Drums and other various elements connected to the Sambadas from all over the country. The 2 band members make the shows dynamic, fast, straight forward and intense, where the aesthetic is easy to notice (brothers, pandeiro, guitar). The use of samplers and sound effects suggest a variety of tones, bringing new popular elements to the duo. The purpose is to make “loas” and “ladainhas”, inspired by Capoeira, Roots Samba, Coco, Maracatu, a universal factor. But also reminding that we are urban young musicians, part of the mass culture where rock n roll, dub reggae, emusic was a big part of our musical awakening and helped transform our outlook on the world. Introducing CONTRAVERSŌES the track Falou,Falei, Fala aí. The COLETIVO A IRMANDADE has been creating remixes with music producers from Brazil and some European countries made their own resources in a totally integrated with the production of a Irmandade of the EP Sambada/2007. This joint consists of the creations of Lenis Rino, Dj Mimica, Gui Dub, MaxKah, and project natema Flamboyant and from the experience and backgrounds of these musicians and their readings. The Collective is made up of permanent partners and snapshots as they have done presentations in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, São Paulo and Recife) and the recent passage through Europe (Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands). Trails soundtracks for theater and cinema, are also part of this collective idea musical.The Theater Lusotaque / Germany, with the number "INQUIETUDES" as well as the short film Santo Ciclo / RJ in the Coletivo KINÓIA are some of the works and roads traveled by the duo. The year 2009 was devoted almost exclusively to the Coletivo Ataque, more a partnership of A Irmandade along the ARTSENFRONTEIRA (www.artsenfronteira.webs.com) with musicians Tony Santos and Rogério Flôr, a connector Brazil / Germany / Itália. Also the Coco Bongar Nation Xamba resistent black group . A Irmandade gives the honor to produce together the soundtrack " Luz do meio dia ", the latest CD group pernambucano. This projects are seen as the possibility of a culture, not only music, serve as instrument to free individuals and their goals to some of our context. The presentations of A Irmandade goes to show what can be the production process collect. The concerts have well-defined aesthetic, with 2 members on stage serving as the base; where tambourine and guitar instruments of the most popular in Brazil are the line master. A Irmandade is popular in his home Brazilian and organic and electronic beats his way, tambourine and guitar, instruments of the most popular all over Brazil to combine effects and samples to create a concept that so called MUB (Universal Music Brazil). The Collective project "A Irmandade" begins with the brothers by blood Miguel Jorge and Marcelo Silva and extends to the "brothers of sound" in their presentations, speeches and records audio and image.
