    A Cryptic Ending is a 4 piece metalcore band from Spokane, WA. Originally formed in the summer of '03 by Mike Hixson and Chuck Julian, they were a punk band called Run Away Street Boy. Dustyn Dauterman joined the band as guitarist/vocalist that same year, but after writing a few songs and playing some gigs, they all started tiring of the style and ended up breaking up. Not long after, Mike and Dustyn decided that they both wanted to continue playing music so they reformed with some new members, changed their style completely and the metalcore band A Cryptic Ending was formed. After some ups, downs, a few member changes and another brief break up in May of 2011, they finally found their footing and have been playing shows, writing more music and gaining a following.The word really started getting out when the band entered into the Rockstar Uproar Battle of the Bands contest where they held a solid #10 spot for the national ranks and a #2 locally. They hooked up with the founders of Project Independence and Metal Sanaz and got an interview which will appear on the metal documentary "Living Loud." A Cryptic Ending consists of Dustyn Dauterman (vocals), Mike Hixson (drums), Ryan Hale (guitar) and Luke Hulce (bass). We have been through so much and continue to survive. ACE Will Never Die. ♥
